VYAS Mother's Day Special Event "Moving Forward with Love, Leading with Kindness" Successfully Held!

Vancouver, BC – May 13, 2023 - VYAS celebrated Mother's Day with a special event, "Moving Forward with Love, Leading with Kindness," held successfully last Saturday. This event served as a warm-up to a charity gala co-organized by the VYAS and the Vancouver General Hospital Foundation. It garnered broad support from the community, offering Greater Vancouver parents a wonderful occasion to come together and share their passion for charitable work and youth volunteering.

On the event day, the VYAS team arrived early at the Hy Tea Lounge to set up the venue. Young volunteers were on hand to welcome guests and prepare for the Mother's Day sharing session. The setting featured a warm pink atmosphere, complemented by various delightful beverages and desserts.

After the guests' arrival, Zena and James, VYAS's Vice President and Director, extended warm greetings to all mothers and expressed their appreciation for the presence of special guests. Among these special guests were Mr. Alfred Chien, a Vancouver School Board Trustee and CEO of TUEX Education; Laura Edwards, a private education expert and former Director of Development at York House, a prestigious private school in Vancouver; and Ms. Echo Wu, representing the Vancouver General Hospital Foundation, among others.

Following this, Jason, Founder and President of VYAS, took the stage to share VYAS's mission, achievements, and vision, particularly emphasizing the importance of youth mental health. He introduced the VYAS store project, which employs a unique business model to set up offline sales at popular locations and raise funds for the VGH Youth Mental Health Project through collaborations with new media. He encouraged more young people to engage in volunteer activities and collectively make a difference in society.

The next President, Gary, warmly welcomed all the mothers and pledged to enhance cooperation with the community in the coming year, promising more meaningful activities that would provide support to an even larger audience.

The event venue was packed, and participants also shopped at the VYAS Store - Love Charity Kiosk outside, showcasing their generosity.

As the event came to an end, every mother's face radiated warmth and happiness. A mother's love is one of the most precious emotions in the world, and VYAS was honoured to celebrate this special Mother's Day with Vancouver's exceptional mothers.

In the future, VYAS will continue to carry out charitable and philanthropic activities to create a better community together.
